SIXTH SUNDAY OF LENT: PALM SUNDAY

On Palm Sunday we celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem.  People waved palms and greeted Jesus saying: “Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest.  Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.”  This story was foretold in the Old Testament in Zechariah 9:9 “The King will enter riding on a donkey.”  God the Father wanted His Son to bring peace into the world.  Can you imagine what it felt like to be in the crowd of believers when Jesus rode through Jerusalem?
