John Pakuris' Memorial Scholarship

ST LUKE'S JOHN PAKURIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The John Pakuris Memorial Scholarship offers a $2000 scholarship to one student who is a member of the St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church of Broomall, Pennsylvania. This is a competitive scholarship with the award winner to be selected upon recommendation by the Scholarship Committee to the parish priest. Applicants must be accepted into an accredited four year college or university or an accredited graduate program either in the United States or in any other country. Candidates securing an advanced degree do not have to reside at the institution and could be engaged in distance learning. Any candidate who has been accepted into an orthodox seminary and is pursuing a life in the ministry of our Greek Orthodox Church will be given first priority. Candidates pursuing a career in education, psychology, social work or other fields devoted to service will be evaluated with preferential consideration.

All applications must be postmarked no later than Tuesday, April 24, 2012. All information received from applicants will be treated as confidential. Award winners will be notified by Friday, May 11, 2012.
